About the Role
Bus Driver Trainee Reports to: Director of Transportation Primary Purpose: Three stage training program that will train
individual to obtain their CDL (Commercial Driver's License) and secure a bus driver position with GCISD.
Education/Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age High school diploma or GED Must pass DOT physical and alcohol/drug
tests Acceptable driving record in accordance with DPS standards Acceptable criminal history record Special
Knowledge/Skills: Ability to complete required bus driver safety training Ability to follow written and verbal
instructions and communicate effectively Knowledge of student discipline procedures and ability to manage student
