About the Role
Overview The role of a 911 Dispatcher I is to receive, evaluate, input and retrieve data pertaining to
emergency/non-emergency calls for service to/from various Public Safety Units (City/County Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS)
and City Departments; serving as a communications link between the public and other governmental entities. Primary
Responsibilities Answer emergency/non-emergency calls for service, determining nature and urgency of calls. Assist with
pre-arrival medical information, following protocol, such as CPR, Heimlich, child birth, and instruction in first aid;
