Maintenance Person

About the Role

Duties include, but are not limited to, the construction, maintenance and repair of the City's water and wastewater

systems and storm sewers; Operation of heavy equipment and vehicles; Cleans drainage ditches, lines and manholes and

cleans worksite after jobs are completed; Installs service taps, new drain pipes, water lines, and meters; Repairs

and/or replaces old drain pipes, line breaks, water and sewer and faulty manholes; maintains grounds and buildings of

water department installations, maintains equipment and machinery at lift stations. Responds to complaints and work

requests from the public; Responds to after hour emergencies; Works with other utility departments when need arises.
