Shovel Operator
About the Role
Excavator Operator Used to load structures and dirt from excavations, loading trucks, pipe and precast concrete
structures. Check oil, water, fuel, tires, hydraulic system, etc. and make appropriate adjustments to be certain vehicle
is in proper operating condition prior to leaving for job site. Conducts safety and maintenance checks on assigned
equipment and machinery. Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading/unloading of dirt, rocks, and other
materials. Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, and falling
objects. Perform maintenance work to equipment including oiling, greasing, and making necessary adjustments.
