About the Role
Telecommunications Officer - 911 Police/Fire Dispatcher Under the general direction of the Police Chief, provides front
line contact for citizens needing emergency and non-emergency services by screening incoming calls, gathering crucial
information, transferring calls when necessary, coordinating with first responder public safety personnel, and providing
continuous communications with those in the field. Job Responsibilities Essential Functions: Answers and routes calls by
answering both emergency and non-emergency calls; documents and organizes vital information in order to enter a call for
service; prepares Officers for arrival on-scene by providing incoming information including but not limited to location,
